Main duties & Responsibilities
Participating in daily technique class in a range of disciplines
Working with Rafael Bonachela on tasks to develop new choreography for
the company’s next production
Learning existing repertoire for future performances
Performing to the best of your ability during all performances and rehearsals
Performing repertoire in London and on tour
Teaching education workshops and classes including company class if required
Attending costume fittings, press calls, photo-shoots, production meetings
and travel in connection with all the above
Being responsible for your own fitness and taking initiative to maintain
standard of excellence in technique and stamina
The location of the job
Rehearsal in London and performances in London and on tour
Indication of salary package or range
£410 per week for the period for the engagement, from which tax
and National Insurance will be deducted according to guidance from Revenue
and Customs. Artists will also be paid a daily subsistence allowance when
performing outside London.
Skills and experience required
Vocational qualification in contemporary or classical dance
At least 3 years professional experience in a contemporary or classical
dance company
Experience in developing movement with a choreographer on a new creation
in a professional environment
Experience in delivering education work, such as leading workshops, teaching
classes and setting creative tasks for students
Demonstrating high levels of stamina and flexibility
Demonstrating strong improvisational skills in the studio
Ability to improvise in line with company’s brand and with minimal
direction in photo shoots
An understanding of Rafael’s work and his creative goals
